Join the Virtual AfroPHC Workshop on “Building Teamwork for PHC in Africa” 4-7 pm 9th-11th September 2020. There are over 100 registrants already! This interactive African experience is free and open to anyone interested in building primary health care (PHC) in Africa.
Each session will address one of these questions:
·      Who are we? Getting to know the ambulatory PHC team in Africa
·      What does the community expect from ambulatory PHC service delivery in Africa?
·      Who should be part of the PHC team and how should the PHC teamwork in ambulatory PHC service delivery in Africa?
Each session will have a robust moderated panel discussion, group discussions, and then group feedback. This will be punctured by short videos and online team games.
Our aim is to bring together national leaders of the PHC team: nurses, clinical officers, doctors, community healthcare workers, community leaders, and all PHC team members to ensure we truly build teamwork in African PHC. We hope to issue a joint statement in advance to the UN General Assembly later in September. Join us at the AfroPHC Virtual Workshop!
We want everyone to have their say so we invite all of you to share a short video answering those questions. Even using your phone will be ok! See the video guide when you register here. We would like to post it on the workshop pages to allow participants to see each other’s short video answers. There is a guide. Join us!
You can also join a webinar on “PHC research in Johannesburg” 2-4 pm (CAT) 2nd September 2020. See the details. The Johannesburg Health District Research Committee ( DRC) has resolved on ways to fast-track research applications. We are also gathering research done in Johannesburg.
