A new special issue just published in ecancer reflects the progress made in oncology education across Africa – showing the importance of developing collaboration beyond political or geographical borders. The COVID-19 pandemic has made the development of effective approaches for online education even more necessary, and this issue aims to contribute towards the development of medical education of the highest standards, strengthening the process of continuous learning.
