A Routine Health Information Systems (RHIS) basic concepts online course is available at RHIS eLearning at JSI [https://elearning.jsi.com/course/index.php?categoryid=7] designed to meet the various capacity-building needs of RHIS staff at national, intermediate, and facility levels; policymakers and senior managers; care providers and health technicians. Topics covered in the self-paced, stand-alone modules include RHIS data collection, management, quality, analysis, data demand and use, governance, and strengthening. The eight-module course may be taken independently by individuals or led by a facilitator with groups of learners. The RHIS course was adapted from a workshop-based global standard RHIS curriculum developed with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) by MEASURE Evaluation with worldwide partners. The online course was developed by USAID’s Advancing Partners and Communities (APC) Health Management Information System (HMIS) Scale-Up project in Ethiopia to meet the needs of HMIS capacity building in the country.
