This is a newsletter from the University of Malawi, College of Medicine Department of Family Medicine
We are excited to share with you our January Newsletter
On January 27-28 the College of Medicine hosted a NCD BRITE Research Priorities meeting. This gave us an opportunity to discuss and refine research in implementation  science and non-communicable disease.
We celebrate the donation of an ultrasound machine at Mangochi District Hospital. This was a generous gift through Dr Annet Hofland and the fundraising of friends and family. This will improve the care in maternity ward.
We are excited to welcome Dr Carol Humphry who is based in Mangochi. This was made possible through our partnership with Seed Global Health.
We are excited to share with you a documentary we prepared as we continue to advocate for Family Medicine in Malawi.

Palliative Care students are currently on district placements. The students are learning about palliative care in Mangochi, Salima (Ndi Moyo), and Nkhoma.
