Somaliland has one of the highest maternal morbidity and mortality rates in the world. The lifetime risk of maternal death is 1 out of every 22 women.

Here at Medical Aid Films, it’s been our mission to address maternal and neonatal health using educational films.  We’ve over 30 films in Somali, supporting the training, continued development and e-learning of nurses and midwives. Badra is one of them.

BBC Radio 4 Appeal Launches with event at the House of Lords
Thanks so much to Lord and Lady Leitch who hosted our event at the iconic River Room on Thursday evening.  We were honoured to have Lord Leitch, Professor Lesley Regan and Professor James Logan all give impassioned speeches on the role film can play in delivering health training in low and middle income countries.
