We are excited to share with you our October newsletter

Some of the Family Medicine team in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, attending the AAFP Global Health Summit and the WONCA World Rural Health Conference. Thanks to the financial support of Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) and the dedication of Carrie Schonwald, this trip was a great opportunity to learn and share our work. Winner of the first ever medical student photo competition during the Family Medicine rotation. Grace Sibande (pictured at Nkhoma Mission Hospital) submitted this photo showing her engaged in patient education.
District Learning Platform: Pictured above, lunch time teaching on self-identified medical topics initiated and championed by Family Medicine team in Mangochi. This initiative was taken up and continued by clinical officer interns themselves (even in the absence of electricity). The topic this day was on “hypertensive disorders of pregnancy”.
