The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need for country governments and development partners to mobilize a whole of society approach to address the challenges faced by country health systems. To do so, a common vision is needed that ensures the resilience of health systems and advances preventive, promotive, and curative care.
USAID’s new Health System Strengthening Vision 2030 frames the collaborative effort between public health, communities and health care institutions that is required to improve health. It outlines a shift from focus on strengthening individual, often siloed functions of the health system to a focus on intermediate outcomes of equity, quality, and resource optimization.
Join USAID, PATH, and partners for a conversation with public health leaders about how communities, local governments, private sector, and health organizations can work collaboratively to make health systems more resilient and learn from progress toward achieving this Vision.
