The Research Committee of Johannesburg Health District (Jhb DRC) plans to continue the regular webinar on “PHC Research in Joburg” 12-2 pm on the 1st Wednesday of every month.
Join us 12-2 pm on Wednesday 7th April 2021. See representatives of the Department of Health and National Health Laboratory Services talk on “Accessing DOH Databases”. The DOH collects data, including DHIS, Tier.net, etc. The NHLS has lots of data from investigations submitted to it. In order to further the mandate of research, the Jhb DRC will be asking representatives to share the details of the databases and the best way in which databases could be accessed, given the sensitivities of the law and department policies. We see it as a great way to advance the research agenda of Johannesburg and to direct researchers to appropriate questions that would improve outcomes in the Johannesburg Health District.
