Policy Bite: Effective advocacy – personal, professional and political
On a related theme, a recent Policy Bite from Amanda Howe and Vivi Martinez Bianchi look at advocacy, and the steps WONCA takes to advocate on its members’ behalf. They were particularly reflecting on their recent visit to WHO HQ, and the many meetings they held there. Our members regularly tell us that our ability to advocate at the WHO level is one of the most important functions which WONCA performs.

WONCA SIG on Migrant Health : new Co-Chair
The WONCA SIG on Migrant Health is one of our most active groups, with migrant health assuming a greater and greater importance and relevance in recent years. WONCA Statement on Eastern Ghouta
WONCA Executive has noted with alarm the situation in Eastern Ghouta and felt that we needed to express our grave concerns about the state of affairs. With the agreement of our WONCA Eastern Mediterranean Region, WONCA has issued a statement, and circulated to all Member Organizations to use as they see fit. WONCA World Conference Seoul: Abstract deadline FURTHER extended to 31st March
The WONCA World conference is coming to Seoul, Korea from October 17-21, 2018. Registrations are open, some keynote speakers are announced, and abstracts are still open for oral and poster presentations.

Deadline for abstract submission has now been EXTENDED to 31st March.
