I am delighted to announce that Scholarships are now available for the Wonca World Rural Health Conference in Albuquerque in October. The Hosts have worked extremely hard against all odds to get this scheme up and running and I am very grateful to them all.

Scholarships are now available to help offset the cost of attendance for the 16th WONCA World Rural Health ConferenceOct. 12-15 in Albuquerque, N.M.
The National Rural Health Association, in collaboration with the University of New Mexico Department of Family & Community Medicine, seeks to offer scholarship funds to individuals with a critical need for financial support with conference expenses.
Scholarships will be awarded to people who meet the eligibility criteria specified in the application form, and who would be unable to attend the 16th Annual WONCA World Rural Health Conference without such support.
Please review the criteria for eligibility and apply soon. And don’t forget to share this opportunity and register early for discounted rates.

Just a short note to remind you that preparations are going well for our conference in October. I hope that you will have had confirmation of your abstract submission by now. The deadline for early bird registration will soon be looming, so if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, send that form in before your summer vacation. If on the other hand you are in the Southern Hemisphere, think of the prospect of enjoying the great climate of New Mexico when you look at that rain and cold weather.
