
The biggest challenges for district health managers in talking quality of care are due to lack of trained personal and equipment.
In my country (Nepal) during second wave of COVID-19 pandemic we are having an upsurge of cases. Initially there were lacks of oxygen supply. With the motivated district/zonal hospitals in charge now even with limited resources many district hospitals are having oxygen plant and even ICU. The main problem now is trained personal for giving critical care
Government have already started training program on critical care (including Pediatric & Neonatal ICU care) for medical professionals working at this level preparing for next wave.
Hence trained personal, equipment and motivated workers are key for improving quality care at district level in my country…more
