STROBE is an international, collaborative initiative of epidemiologists, methodologists, statisticians, researchers, and journal editors involved in the conduct and dissemination of observational studies, with the common aim of Strengthening the Reporting of Observational studies in Epidemiology. The STROBE guidelines were adopted by the PAMJ in early 2020 to help improve and standardize how research articles are reported in all PAMJ journals. An explanation of how the PAMJ recommends the use of the STROBE guidelines is included in the PAMJ Instructions for authors.
