IFCHC has submitted formal recommendations to the World Health Organization and its International Advisory Group regarding the draft Declaration for The Second International Conference on Primary Health Care: towards universal health coverage and the sustainable development goals.

A final draft version of the Declaration will be presented to WHO Member States for review in May 2018 before the final version is then presented to stakeholders from around the world this October, in Kazakhstan, at the Second International Conference on Primary Health Care. The global conference is co-hosted by the Government of Kazakhstan, the WHO and UNICEF, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Declaration of Alma-Ata on Primary Health Care.

Community Health Centres wishing to also provide input on the current draft of the Declaration may do so online until midnite Central European Summer Time (CEST) on April 23, 2018.
