This workshop is a unique opportunity to meet with fellow health professionals, researchers, advocates and civil society representatives to explore how health systems and workforces in Africa have been affected by the combined pressure of the COVID-19 pandemic and the existing burden of cardiovascular disease.
Questions that we will seek to answer include:
- How is COVID-19 affecting the health workforce in your country?
- What has changed in the wake of COVID-19 in the use of telemedicine and the role of community health workers?
- What are the future needs of your country? How will CVD be managed in the future?
- What role has civil society played in managing the pandemic and supporting the workforce on the frontline?
