Listen to Dr. Pawelos Beshah, a family physician who is currently working at Raleigh Firkin Memorial Hospital (RFMH) in Manzini eSwatini, Southern Africa, talk about Family Medicine in Action, “Being a family physician is a calling: excellence in NCDs” 3.00-4.00 pm (CAT) on Friday 11th February 2021.

Dr. Beshah is also a missionary doctor, international conference speaker, the author inspirational book “High Impact Living – Living a Life that Inspires and Influences Others”. He is the chairperson of non-communicable diseases at RFMH. He is also one of the advisors of the non-communicable diseases department of the Ministry of Health in eSwatini regarding asthma management. He is also a national trainer on evidence-based treatment of asthma. He established the first standalone asthma follow-up clinic providing a standard treatment for the nation. He is an advocate for the right of patients with non-communicable diseases to get proper management. He is in the final stage of building a center of excellence for non-communicable diseases that will provide patient-centered and holistic care. He believes that being a physician is a calling; therefore, it should be used for impact not just for income.
