I got this more than a month ago and did not want to delete as I was cleaning emails. Posted here so I dont lose it, like everything else posted….

Evening Prof

I am Mpho Mathe, GEMP1 student with 2010 Wits Physiotherapy degree. I should say being from a remote area like Acornhoek, Bushbuckridge Mpumalanga under Tintswalo Hospital I strongly relate to your teaching. One of my reasons for coming back to study after 7-year exposure to working in my rural area and northern KZN rural area (Umkhanyakude, Bethesda Hospital) was the fact that I was faced with health challenges that I could not do anything about it as Physiotherapist. But after attending just a few of your lectures I am given hope that my decision of joining GEMP1 is best. Your teaching is realistic and straight to point and offer solutions to real problems we face in public health. Your mode and level of presentation are top class and I always look forward to your teaching and I cannot wait to see you in action because I can tell there is more in store.
My God bless you Prof, what you have is a gift that many lack. I hope and pray I do not lose this passion for helping remote areas and only could wish to meet people like you to keep this fire burning.
Kind regards
Haward Mpho Mathe
