The monthly meeting of the Community Forum of Chiawelo Community Practice had a presentation by a young entrepreneur in the community, Mr Thabo Ndiya, on how to raise funds. TheCommunity Forum is mostly comprised of the six Health Clubs established in the community of Ward 11 and Ward 12 in Soweto. There was considerable interest by the four clubs present in developing themselves into non-profit organisations as a first step and then to proceed with fund-raising and developmental initiatives in the community. There was also excitement at receiving a gas stove/plates for each club to start weekly cooking classes and other activities in the community.
